blue-olympus 0 Posted August 10, 2009 This is one of those shots which is "fighting for a bit of colour" and the red rooftops come to the rescue admirably. Beautiful tranquil scene which gives the impression that it must have been taken from a boat? Like the drop shadow presentation....Regards Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted August 10, 2009 What a beautiful tranquil scene Jim....well balanced...love viewing it larger......A rather grey day, but the color of the roofs brightens the scene....lovely shot...sincerely, Gail Link to comment
hus 0 Posted August 10, 2009 Successful composition Jim. We know that this lighthouse is near a lake and there's a forest or wood behind it. With the inclusion of the horizon line lower in the frame, you've divided the frame cleanly and precisely. I also like the colour contrast created by the dark trees. Well done. Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted August 10, 2009 I really love the color tone. The composition is rather simple, but very attractive. Best regards. Link to comment
corbin 0 Posted August 10, 2009 Good use of panoramic format. The soft greys of the cloudy sky and the calm sea give a feeling of tranquillity, with the red roofs adding just a bit of spice. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted August 10, 2009 Breathtaking composition, Jim. Nice processed and even more impressive when seen enlarged. However, I would try to 'muffle away' that bit of halo on the building mid-right. Regards - El Link to comment
