bosshogg 4 Posted August 4, 2009 Thanks for the view. I guess I missed on this one, as it seems destined to remain obscure. Link to comment
jbm 0 Posted August 4, 2009 David, this and your photo of the two trailers are really great. I am viewing this on a small screen and I have to say the use of selective desaturation is pretty effective. I am looking forward to the larger view on my home computer. Cheers, jay Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 14, 2009 Interesting B&W/color combination w/stark B&W tones. As a fan of garages, this works quite well for me. michael Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted August 15, 2009 Jay, thanks for your thoughts. Glad you enjoyed it. Michael, glad you like. I cooked it on high for a bit, so it is a bit overdone for many. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 16, 2009 Well, I'm glad somebody's got a little snap; my stuff seems as limp as the flowers on my balcony that are dying of heat stroke because I've I've neglected to water them for the last 2 days. Crisp and cool this picture is - I only wish I were. Link to comment

laurentlacoste 0 Posted August 25, 2009 Those seven poles look as proud and tall as the seven Samourai of photography, or the seven cowboys that were the originals for a long series of replica movies. Which one would be Yul Brinner, BTW ? Kidding aside, a helluva good catch, David. Love it. The desaturation adds an extra creative touch to the pic, like icing on the cake ( we French people say CHERRY on the cake, like that small red pole I see in the middle that must be the Lone Sentinel I presume?). Great pic here. P.S.: David, I missed you, I missed Jack...and even missed myself I could tell. Those proud poles make me wish we could reunite that old gang we used to be in the old days, when we were so enthusiastic about the whole thing on Pnet. I miss all those friends from the early days. bosshogg 4 Posted August 25, 2009 Once again I'm deeply indebted to you. Not just for the compliment, but because you remind me of what is so good about this site. I've made some great friends. Some I've met personally, and others only ethernetically. But guys like you, Jack and so many others here sure help counter my basic pessimistic view of the possibilities of man to overcome his inherent weaknesses and to thrive in a way that sometimes seem counter to the norm. You are an impressive guy, and I thank you for that. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted August 27, 2009 I'm not so well-at-ease with words as I'd like to, and I'm not always present here, but let me just say thanks and assure you the feeling is mutual. Link to comment
