This is beautiful, great composition and contrast, lovely colors.

Gail, thanks for your interesting comment to my gladiolo, you are right, the meaning may be correct for the dead people. Great insight, hugs, Mari.

A very good feeling into your beautiful image, Gail! A gateway to open waters and unknown, sailing the Oceans, adventure....:-)) Nicely done. Warm regards.

Yes, it must be wonderful to have a vessel such as this....to know that you're sailing in the old tradition. So many 'man hours' to keep a vessel such as this in 'tip top' shape....thankyou for your very kind critique.....sincerely, Gail

Nice work and well balanced , the clarity of the shot the color the framing of the shot is well done... I like to see a departure from digital alterations. Just good old photography for a change.

Regarding comments on my images from Kawah Putih (Crater white) location is Indonesia near a city called Bandung, a dormant volcano still a strong sulfer odor and th rain water collected created the lake inside the colors are due to various conditions lighting and sulfer...

Indo is quiet now but there is an undercurrent with the bomb of a week ago so we all kind of keep a low profile...

Thanks for asking and thanks for sharing your work!

Thankyou for your kind words of critique MJ. I'm kind of venturing out of my 'garden' FINALLY!! I was quite surprised and pleased how some of the images turned out...gives me more confidence.

Re Indonesia.....I rather thought that area was near some sort of sulpher....I've noticed even in Banff, Alberta where my brother Ray lives...the Sulpher Springs, and some of the lakes have the same shades...many are spring fed from the mountains....but there is evidence of sulpher there also. Are you going back through some older images....kind of 'introspective'?? Suits, the 'moood' of your surroundings at the moment.....as long as things stay quiet...and you are safe. Such beautiful places yet 'turmoil' still exists....but it is a 'common' thread throughout society these days....Tnks for the info and also critique, Gail

There were quite a few boats, but not as many as I'd hoped....it still proved to be an interesting afternoon.....and the sun was 'kind' for most of it....thankyou for your very kind remarks, and taking the time to jot a few lines...sincerely, Gail

This one is about my favorite of them all....it happened to be docked on it's own, so there was much more room to 'set up' for a good shot....many thanks Jannica for your support....sincerely, Gail

Hi Gail- Well, I come back from a long boating adventure and I find this great series of yours. These old boats hold great stories, if only they could talk, love to hear what they would say. Beautiful capture and composition Gale. Always a pleasure. Glad you liked St John's. Hope you get a chance to shoot some night shots soon, there a lot of fun. All my best-Jim
