dandem 1 Posted June 29, 2009 Well spotted and captured, Dave. Like the tones. Lokks like there have been plenty bills posted on that pole. Well done, my friend. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment

bosshogg 4 Posted June 30, 2009 Thanks for your brief visit. I remember the days of the "post no bills" mentality, when telephone poles, walls, signposts and other vertical public appurtenances were not considered public posting and advertising spots. Somehow it seemed to be a less cluttered world, both environmentally and spiritually. There was a time when I used to stop and tear down signs posted on public property, but I now no longer tilt at windmills. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 1, 2009 This almost appears a dark hourglassed figure. The toning seems to befit the image. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted July 2, 2009 the tree has seen quite a number of ads passing by...the sepia toning evocates nostalgy and passing time and thus goes well with the subject... Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted July 2, 2009 I really like this image. The brick background provides some effective contrasts in color, shape, and focus with the pole in the foreground. Nice job on the tonal range as well. Great eye!! michael Link to comment

alight 0 Posted July 4, 2009 this pole certainly tells a story. Have you considered pulling out all the staples and selling them to a recycle company? Might make a fortune. I'm not sure about the sepia-ish treatment. My taste would prefer a slightly de-saturated look instead. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 4, 2009 I'm inclined to agree that it is too reddish. After I uploaded this I did tone it down, and liked it better, but I'm too lazy to reload. Frankly, I didn't care for the image that much. It's just too linear. Cheers Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Hi David. Wonderful take. I like the sepia tone that to me suits the picture well. Link to comment
