Un contrasto estremo e divertentissimo! Hai avuto un grande occhio, ma non c'è da stupirsene: basta dare una veloce occhiata agli altri tuoi lavori, per i quali ti faccio i miei complimenti. Alla prossima!

What I like here the bright DIOR and the slim DIOR ;-) In addition the Upper and lower DIOR works as contrapuntal to the upper and lower 'persons'. Congratulations!

I am very happy you liked this one. This one is one of my last shots - there will be a series about people and their "surroundings" in Rome. Thanks so much, I beg your pardon if I cannot reply individually, but these are really busy days. Ciao, Giuseppe

The brutal reality meets the ideal vision. As good as this well crafted photo is by displaying this contrast I have doubts on a rather principal level. I must confess I would not be able to shoot - hmm - less than ideal persons, just wouldn't feel comfortable doing so and then displaying the capture so the others could have "fun". I presume you must be a much faster acting photographer than me handling this kind of scenes comfortable.

your comments. Makku, I'd like to get this occasion to reply to your interesting comment, and in particular when you write " just wouldn't feel comfortable doing so and then displaying the capture so the others could have "fun"". Well, I do not display my works, nor here, nor elsewhere, in order to have direct or undirect fun. I simply post them because I think I have something to show, something to say about our society, about our human family. I post because I hope to stimulate some thoughts or reflections about our contemporary world by finding new or interesting links among apparently unrelated subjects. I never ever take fun of anyone. Sometimes we smile bitterly, sometimes we laugh or cry: it's very important that these "first-glance reactions" are linked to deeper reflections on the why's and how's. Photography is narrating stories using frozen moments where the past and the future are mere hypothesis. This is my intent and I truly know that it's a difficult endeavour and that I will rarely fulfill my hopes and my viewers expectations, but I'll keep trying and trying.

Thank you for your words and the time spent, this is very important to me, Giuseppe

it´s a impressive statement Giuseppe and one which I can relate to. Street photographers are often falsely accused of ridiculing what´s out there. It´s in fact more like Markku put it `brutal reality meets the ideal vision`. We show what´s there while we leave the projection to others.

As for your photo. You don´t surprise me anymore. The quality of your uploads is consistently of a very high level.
