Hemlock trees shot with Sigma 12-24MM on Canon 5D. Comments?

Location is Breakheart Reservation in Saugus Massachusetts.

.. and clear, with amazing control of ight and dark. Just marvelous. My similar attempt with a similar lens but with the Canon 50D (and of course a different operator :-))) did not deliver such results. Toast.

I raised the shadow brightness to bring up detail in the Hemlock tree bark.

Looking at this photo gives me the feeling of falling over backwards.

Well then Dan, I achieved my objective.
