alfbailey 3 Posted June 10, 2009 After hours and hours of seemingly endless rain my dog Toby decided to scratch at the door to answer a call of nature, the scent of damp earth and flowers filled the air in the garden, and I nipped back in to get my camera to try and capture the essence. All comments are very much appreciated Link to comment
paulpluskwik 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Hi Alf, Beautiful macro shot. Well done. I have also recently used the black background and it really makes the flowers pop out. Great start to your portfolio also with lots of great shots. Take care. Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Alf, beautiful flowers and your composition seems to work well also, even with all that negative space, perhaps it is because of that space that it works so well. Well done ! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted August 5, 2012 I took this shortly after taking ownership of my first DSLR I think I used automatic settings and took this at night time after a lot of rain. I thought it was great back then......now I don't even like it .........but I keep things like this as a reminder of my humble beginnings. Thanks for looking in.Best RegardsAlf Humple Apologies to Paul and Roger I wasn't aware that this image had any comments until I noticed Tonys. Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted July 20, 2014 I like the blackened background of this image, it does not allow any outside distraction. Super strong detail Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted July 20, 2014 Many Thanks...........It's something I tried a long time ago, but I've come to the conclusion there are a million flower photographers out there that do it so much better than I do : - ) Regards Alf Link to comment
