After The Rain

After hours and hours of seemingly endless rain my dog Toby decided

to scratch at the door to answer a call of nature, the scent of damp

earth and flowers filled the air in the garden,and I nipped back in to get

my camera to try and capture the essence. All comments are very

much appreciated

Alf, beautiful flowers and your composition seems to work well also, even with all that negative space, perhaps it is because of that space that it works so well. Well done !

I took this shortly after taking ownership of my first DSLR I think I used automatic settings and took this at night time after a lot of rain. I thought it was great back then......now I don't even like it .........but I keep things like this as a reminder of my humble beginnings.

I like the blackened background of this image, it does not allow any outside distraction. Super strong detail
