alfbailey 3 Posted June 6, 2009 I don't normally photograph birds, but whilst I was fishing a part frozen lake, this cheeky chappy insisted on posing for the camera, either that or the constant supply of grubs I was feeding him that kept him in the vicinity all day. Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted December 1, 2009 I love these cheeky little birds, they will often perch near me when I am fishing (As this one did) and I feed it bits all day as it flits back and forth taking the food, quite often they will sit just inches away, stealing worms from my bait box (which I actively encourage by leaving the lid off) Their bright colours are a real delight on a cold winters day, a real heart warming sight. Thank you for your very kind comments Gail Warm Regards Alf Link to comment
lldunbar 0 Posted January 24, 2010 Alf, You captured this little guy so well. The first time I ever saw one was in 1997 when my sister and I took a trip to Northern England and Scotland. I loved this little bird the first time I saw it hopping around the tombs stones at Aberlady Bay Abbey in Scotland. I love birds and try to capture them on film, but often only succeed in getting their tail in perfect focus as they fly away. Keep at it, and you are sure to get more like this to please.
