jerrymat 5 Posted May 21, 2009 A most interesting scene. I am trying to figure out how it was lit. I guess it must have been spotlights because the background just goes dark rapidly and no portable flash equipment would do this. I could almost believe it was a pottery miniature on a table. I notice the background is not black but a mottled reddish color, so I presume you had to use a high ISO. I played with this in Adobe Raw software and it is beginning to look more like a miniature against a background. Was it or am I completely fooled? Regards, Jerry Link to comment

Anabela Sequeira 0 Posted May 21, 2009 Actually, the "strange" image I have submitted for critique is the post processed version of the photo shown above, the one I start off with. I have done colours and levels adjustments and have applied texture for the background, nothing more than that. I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your appreciation of this image. Thank you very much indeed, Anabela Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 23, 2009 Very timely, at least for me Anabela...I was too tired to work on my photos, so was lazy and watched a 'silly' movie last nite "Maxwell Smart"...but loved the scenery in it....much of Russia was in the background and these very 'temples'(?) were there....love your textures, color, and processing ...beautiful! sincerely, Gail Link to comment

soniam 6 Posted May 25, 2009 What a great presentation of a beautiful landmark. I love the darkness that the building vanishes into. I think I would prefer a more natural but still dramatic background. Perhaps a red sunset or dark grey textured clouds. As it is now, it looks like a mini model. Fabulous colours and contrasts. Beautiful shot! Link to comment
