mark_q 0 Posted May 17, 2009 My tip of the day: do print, frame and hang on a gallery wall. Pronto. Or, at least include this gem into your oncoming photo book. Thanks! Link to comment

laurentlacoste 0 Posted May 20, 2009 Markku, thank you so much as always. I have a few pics currently hanging on the wall of an Art gallery in Paris, but not this one. It'll have to be next time. Thanks again! Linda, thanks. Yes, the book. I've already made a couple of them, but wasn't satisfied with the quality. I'm still looking for a good online service that could deliver high quality printing, even if it cost a little more money. Jerome, thanks for visiting and counting the tiles. Your kind comment is very much appreciated. Giuseppe. I'm glad one of my very favourite shooters on Pnet should compliment one of my pics in such a way. Thanks as always! Linda, the two Lindas here commenting on the same photograph. I'm flattered. Thanks for visiting and for the kind words. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted May 20, 2009 Interesting to hear that your work is presented in art gallery, just doen't surprise me at all, rather expected. Would you care to tell about the book makers you have used so far? Is Blurb among them? You know both Kent B (who's book I have) and Marco Vergano have their photos published by Blurb. Some time ago I noticed forum discussion and an over-the-top publisher was mentioned, www.photobookworldwide.com. All too expensive for my budget, please read more here: http://photo.net/casual-conversations-forum/00Sl8X I'm playing with this idea myself, one of the reasons I built my PC last autumn to be cabable of handling large image files. Unfortunately I'm rather a lazy guy to start serious editing of full size versions... My bad. Link to comment

laurentlacoste 0 Posted June 3, 2009 Laurent, thanks for your humorous comment. Markku, sorry about my late answer. I made a book with Blurb about a year and a half ago but wasn't satisfied with how it came although I must say that Blurb offers very good value for money. I also tried recently Photoservice.com which was quite good too, but I'm still looking for top quality-printed books that wouldn't be too expensive to produce. Unfortunately, prices seem to get higher as quality improves, which seems quite normal after all. Link to comment
