thadley 15 Posted April 5, 2009 Ripple and manual application of the liquify filter - layers and vector masks - as such the process is not repeatable. Always interested in your comments and ratings. Thanks Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted April 5, 2009 Richard: thanks very much - I also like the Cuban School Children the best of the 4 that I recently uploaded and was thinking about submitting it for critique - then after some reflection (pun intended) I decided to test the waters with this one. Warm regards and thanks for all of your kind words and generous ratings. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted April 6, 2009 The beautiful, swirling reds, yellows and blues create a festival of colour. This is a delight to look at. The editing was skillfully done. Brilliant peice of work. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 6, 2009 I have yet to take the time to figure out how to 'liquify' Tony, but you did a masterful job here, brilliant colors converge and join in with the 'dance' beautiful!! 7/7 anon Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted April 6, 2009 Keith, Jim, Ali, Dr. Didi, Leslie, Warren, Linda, Gail, Neil, Ruud and anyone else that I may have missed: Glad you liked it and I do appreciate the visit, comments and very generous ratings. Gail: I have PS CS2 and I just go over to the Filters and let the liquify come up - after that just move your mouse around on the image while clicking. I was quite addicted to this filter sometime back and I have a whole folder with images I did with my mouse and the liquify filter. I think that folder is called Liquid Filter Alterations. Having a hard time keeping my eyes open after a very busy day - so it is off to slumber land in a few minutes. Hope to stop by your images soon. Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted April 6, 2009 Interesting image Tony. I use different tools but this gave me an idea I will try in the future. I sometimes try multiple applications of the same filter/effect but have done little where I rotated or flipped the image between applications of the filter.Great work as always and thanks for the inspiration. JimCowan 0 Posted April 6, 2009 This is fantastic, the richness of Fall colours in an abstract. The clever part is taking the natural phenomenon of water ripples and exaggerating and controlling their shape though image manipulation. PN won't let me give this the rating it deserves 7/7. Well done! Link to comment

soniam 6 Posted April 6, 2009 I was wondering how your got the rippples to cross over perfecly. Typically in real life one would disturb the other. Very unique image and beautiful colours. Was it originally a sky shot, rather than a reflection? Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted April 6, 2009 Thanks for the recent comments and ratings. Time taken to visit is very much appreciated. Sonia - the original was fall leaves and a blue sky. Link to comment
