tm_j 30 Posted February 24, 2009 Thanks Christine R. ! :-) Thanks Tanni, it's a good pose but I wish it was sharper ... may be next time. Been trying to get this type of shot for the last 6 months. I accidentally had a blurry shot of a Tern coming up from the water with a fish 6 months ago and the pose is similar to this. Since, I've been trying to catch this particular shot with Tern and Seagull but I got an egret instead. :-) Link to comment

mattmcclain 0 Posted March 2, 2009 wow! you got this shot before ripples started. perfect. 6 months is not a long time for a shot like this. Where I live this might take a life time. And like you said the first one was out of focus. enough said. thanks for sharing Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks Hussein! Thanks Revonda! Thanks Matt! actually, I got lucky on this one as well as the 'water toucher Tern' which I posted recently (a few post after this one). Part of the reason is because my Olympus E-410 is very slow in focusing and the 70-300mm Zuiko tends to hunt as well. There is a delay from the time I think, shoot and got what really happen. So, it's a lucky shot that I got it right when the beak reach the water. I think the concept is good and most important but in execution if the equipment I got was better (instead of one shot at a time with the E-410) then my keeper rate would be higher as well as the chance of really sharp images. In any event, I feel lucky and hope that I will get even luckier soon. Thanks for stopping by and left your thought, have a great day! Link to comment
