bjcarlton 0 Posted January 11, 2009 A different perspective perhaps. It's helpful to be on good terms with the model. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 11, 2009 I think the concept is fun but would have been improved if her arm made a circle around your lens. In addition to continuing the theme, it would have hidden your hand. On the subject of trust, I found that the models I've worked with would do almost anything if I showed them respect enough to explain want I was doing. I also told them that if they were ever uncomfortable to tell me and I would stop and move on to another idea. Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Thanks for taking the time to comment. I really like your idea about having her encircle the lens with her arm. That gives me a place to start the next session. This shot actually is a bit of an accident; the original image covered a much larger area, but I discovered that this tight crop (almost 100%) was more interesting. I had planned to re-shoot with a more appropriate lens, but again, I think your suggestion will give me a good jumping-off point. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 12, 2009 I can't wait to see the result When I made this image it was a similar situation. I was changing film and told the model, Talea, to relax. When I looked up she was in this position. I made minor changes and took several frames. When I showed this to a photography group last week I said it's sometimes better to be lucky. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 13, 2009 A truly original nude, with all of your usual wacky humor. While you are at it, how about inverting it? Cheers Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted January 13, 2009 Yeah; I thought it was kind of original. Fun to take, too (but I'm on good terms with the model). Probably explains the low "originality" ratings. By invert, do you mean upside-down, or left-right? Link to comment
