amalsircar 2 Posted January 9, 2009 Very good composition and choice of tone, David. Simplicity any symmetry are in concert. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 9, 2009 Thank you. It will not win any popularity awards. But that's as it should be. Link to comment
drewmurphy 0 Posted January 10, 2009 It may not win any popularity awards Dave....but I think it's great! As A.K.Sircar said - good comp and tones. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 10, 2009 Thanks. I just came upon a title: "Depression Inducing Study of Sterility." Now that should elevate it. ☺ Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 10, 2009 I dare you to give it that title and watch the number of compliments you get on your cleverness :) Great shot. The linear quality you've captured is special and I like the way just the tops of the more ornate chairs are peaking over the nicely-textured wall in front of it. There's a drabness here, obviously, offset mostly by the strong highlighting on the two poles just off center. It's geometry, yes, with a hint of something more. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 6, 2009 Highly interesting, this. I like how the different elements repeat in this image; the three chairs in the lower right of the image, the squares on the door on the left, the bars in the lower left. You've hit it right with the tonality and contrast as well, I believe. I've become a fan of this kind of photography lately and I must say this is an impressive piece of work, much more sophisticated than many people would think at first. It needs to be looked at (or should I say 'studied') carefully, after which the viewer is rewarded with how the different elements all work together in creating a visually enticing image. Clever work, one of my favorites of your portfolio! Link to comment
