Very effective abstract shot! I really like the dramatically different textures. What really makes the shot work, for me, is the shadow effect.

Good stuff!

Thanks. This provided a good opportunity for me to try some tricks in PhotoShop. Frankly I'm surprised at the rates, as I was totally convinced when I put it out for rates that I needed to suck it up when the 3/3s came marching home. Maybe those guys weren't working last night.

this is weird, completely weird. I think in Africa they call this "Lion's Lick". Not only I see some traces of Africa in there, but also India and Europe. I certainly hope that a cannibalistic I-scream like this never makes it to the freezers of food stores. Cheers, Micheal

What a cool idea. I could like make these up and sell them. Maybe "Human Licks" or "Flesh and Cone." I'm thinking man....thinking. How can I ever repay you?

by not sending them to Canada. It could corrupt our teddy-bearness. We prefer things huggable to things lickable - in our cold winters it's dangerous to lick stuff. Cheers, Micheal

This "ice/face/cream" will not be accepted by religious Jews.... that are not mixing meat and cream( milk)....;-)) Fun/funny composition..... mischievous Dave.... I like the idea and execution.

OK Dave now you're starting to worry me :-)

I agree with Ektor this does look retro but on what planet I'm not sure.

I disagree with Micheal about sending these to Canada, up in Churchill the polar bears would love'm. Maybe you could make some seal or beluga flavoured.

I like the gritty , ' as seen through a dirty window ' , feel you has gotten with your PP... good stuff.

Okay, I may not be able to sell them to religious Jews, but that still leaves plenty of other worthy suckers, I mean patrons. Maybe not.....

I took it as a very straight shot in my studio, and, despite the fact that one might think that an ice cream cone with a doll's head stuffed in it and whipped cream on top of its head as well as chocolate syrup dripping down its face, would be somewhat interesting, the "straight" shot was just not that interesting to me, so I started playing with the Crayola's I had in the PhotoShop box. For better or worse, you see the results.

You have destroyed my marketing plans. I'm going to go back into the studio and create something irresistible to Canadians.

Indeed. But I suspect that beneath that all American Midwestern persona of yours lies an equally creepy dude. And I like that too.

I don't have a lot of pop art culture but for any reason it reminds me of Andy Warhol images..probably the way of pushing up the settings...I know I am often uncomfortable myself with overprocessed images...but truth is I find this one very original and provocative in a good sense...I also appreciate very much that you are trying things and present them openly...and that's why I am interested...

You don't need to try new things as you already have a successful style and pattern of presenting fine images. Some of us are still groping for a good outcome.

well you're much too gentle David....my own feeling is that I am struggling like hell to try produce interesting images...and I guess anybody interested in doing photos does....that's this search that I also find interesting by the way....to see people evolve and try...

You sneaked this one past me when I was not looking, but I'm glad I caught up with it. Definitely not a 3/3 in my opinion, however I do wonder if there was a better PS view of it. Great Idea!

Now you have me thinking about getting some whipped cream, some chocolate syrup and a model...

I just want to know if that shoot with the whipped cream, choclate syrup and all is with a live female model. I'm liking the images brought to mind with that setup. Let me know how that works out for you.
