Who dreamed that beauty passes like a dream?

For these red lips, with all their mournful pride,

Mournful that no new wonder may betide,

Troy passed away in one high funeral gleam,

And Usna's children died.

"The Rose of the World" - W. B. Yeats

Outstanding work with great colours. The water reflection makes this shot even more effective and the solitary use of colour on the roses is the "magical touch"...Regards

I wanted to have some fun and play with PS. I am glad you appreciated the post production of this humble homage to Mr. William Butler Yeats, one of my favourite poets. The passing of time and decadence of beauty are common literary stereotypes since a long long time ago. In these troublesome days I am happy to share with you this "divertissement" and to those who have privately objected about this sudden "commercial" turn, well, stay tuned and let me know what you think about the next works. Thank you for your time and patience, Giuseppe

This is excellent work, a great composition and wonderful colours with the red roses of the world as the great finish.

Thanks and regards - LKV.

Wonderful art work....love the Poetry......I worked a bit in Rome when I was just 19.....fell in love with the city, and my heart has be 'anxious to visit again' ever since.....magical.....beautiful people.....love the 'outlook on life' - each meal is a celebration......turned me into the "last one who leaves the dinner table".....so much history......it also is a city, when visiting, I think a city for 'lovers'....romance'.....you should always be with someone you Love when you visit Rome.....for the 'earth and ancient buildings' speak the 'language of Love'.......you cannot help but hear the 'melody'........beautiful!!.......Gail
