pnital 36 Posted October 29, 2008 Many of your chosen subjects and titles are so good and funny, and bringe me a smile. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and send you my version of Quick Silver.... we think alike sometimes.... Link to comment
alight 0 Posted October 29, 2008 be honest - how much money did you put in before you had enough of riding it? Can't blame you, though - this looks like a real staplechase winner (no steeples down south). I think your portrait with you riding the horse would be a great photo for your welcome page. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted October 30, 2008 Have a great trip. My quick silver appears to be easier to ride. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted October 30, 2008 Only one ride. He bucked me off, and at that point I knew I was out of my element. Maybe if I had been wearing a cowboy hat.... But you have to admit he is a handsome devil. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted October 30, 2008 he's a beauty. i'll bet he is a "quarter" horse! sorry i couldn't resist Link to comment
florainer 0 Posted October 31, 2008 nice one. maybe you shouldve put one of those machine gun guys on it, and payed for a round. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted October 31, 2008 Actually, I rode one of these as late as about 30 years ago (when my son was 4 and I was about 80 pounds thinner). I remember wishing it had an English saddle. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted October 31, 2008 Actually, appropriately enough, he was facing West. How do you like that? Yes, in my youth I've been on a few of these inorganic wonders too. But I doubt that I ever busted any steed as bright and shiny as this one. Link to comment
nachosaezdeugarte 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Funny shot. I like the image and all these good comments. Warm regards you all of you. Link to comment

bjcarlton 0 Posted November 1, 2008 In this era of Internet games, this harks back to a more innocent era. I realize you meant something a bit more ironic, but still. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 1, 2008 Good point. I'll admit I haven't even thought about the fact that these things are so yesterday. I'm sure that the only reason they survive is a very young and naive clientele, pre video gamers, and sheer desperation where mom has dragged the little brutes out of the house to go to the supermarket and they are so bored that they will make a feeble and unsatisfying attempt at amusement given the lack of anything higher tech. bjcarlton 0 Posted November 2, 2008 I remember being one of those little brutes, and begging my mom for a ride on one of these about 45 years ago. She eventually relented. Frankly, it was kind of disappointing, and I never asked again, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for these little supermarket rides. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 2, 2008 I guess it's just as well. I mean suppose you had found it truly fulfilling.I'm not too sure what you look like, but it seems a safe bet to me that you riding one of these out in front of the Super WalMart might just be a bit underwhelming. But then I could be wrong..... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 2, 2008 You live in the wild west, so you should know. lol Link to comment
janusz1 0 Posted November 3, 2008 David... ironicly funny as always :) it looks like Jay has fallen off somewhere on the way and now Quick Silver goes wild on his own? Regards :) Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 3, 2008 Thanks. He might have escaped from your area. Is there a missing horse bulletin out? :) Link to comment
