Wonderful shot, The composition here never calls attention to itself but it is the perfect angle to tell the "story". Sometimes your work reminds me of that of your countryman, Gianni Berengo Gardin. And thank you for the e-mails and kind comments. Regards, Jack

"Gianni Berengo Gardin" has won a few days ago the Lifetime Achievement / Lucie Award (see: www.lucieawards.com/08/current/honorees/Gianni_Berengo_Gardin.html). He is one of my favourite photographers (like, for example Federico Scianna - see www.magnumphotos.come > Photographers > Federico Scianna).

The only thing I can say is that your compliments and support are really welcome and that I feel like I really don't deserve them but like to know you like my works: this is the important thing. Yes, it's very important to know that someone has stopped for one minute, ten seconds, a quarter of an hour in front of one of my works and "read" it, so that photo, that vision is not anymore mine but yours. Life is sharing, sharing is life. Growth comes from confrontation and dialectics. Thank you, really, Giuseppe

I really liked the "civillian"s posture and your placement of him within the frame. As a quite minor point, you may perhaps want to clone out the shoe just in front of him. Regards,
