I like this...maybe I would have tried one thing...wider lens pointed down with part of a table taking up the foreground. This can be done a bit in photoshop if you wanted and crop in...I will try this and post it for you. ALso, when I choose the larger file there are a couple of hot pixels you might want to clone out. Cool photo! Cheers, Jay

Did this in 30 seconds, so not anywhere near perfect, but I like the perspective a bit...

Thank you very much. Obviously nobody else liked this one. They stayed away in droves. In real life it had an eeriness that was unnerving, but I guess it did not translate well as I presented it. I have to say I like your version much better. It seems to provide more of the weirdness I was seeing at the time.

every now and then you upload a photo that frankly I can't make head or tail of. For instance , knowing your work here very well I know you took care of your composition but in this instance I can't derive that from your photo. It seems nothing more than a random snap which makes me wonder why.

On the other hand I can relate to the eeriness of these places as you've described and you're right, it doesn't come across.

To be honest I like Jay's take on it even less because all what's left is just an effect and a cheap one at that (sorry Jay, nothing personal, I just want to make a point here). Now, I wouldn't want to presume that I have a single clue as to what you've seen and sensed here but nevertheless I had a go at it if there was something that could be conversed towards something of eerie atmosphere.

Funny that you should comment on this at this point. I feel that this is a close cousin to the last image of yours upon which I left a comment. The bench sitting isolated and unused. That was the sense I was trying to convey here too. Although all signs of human presence have been wiped from the room the television goes on ad infinitum. It's sterile and lacking humanity. And I thought the stage coach was an excellent counterpoint to the modernity of the rest of the set. It's post apocalyptic. But obviously nobody sees it the way I do. Oh well.

I have nothing against your version. In fact I like it. It's a different image however than I made. May be better or not. Guess I don't know. Thanks for your thoughts on the matter, as I'm always interested in your considerable knowledge.
