The Pause that Refreshes

Someone hiked to Crystal Lake in the Eastern Sierra wilderness, drank a sugared,

carbonated beverage, and left behind the can, complete with Beijing Olympics ad.

(Good citizen that I am, I picked up after them, after getting the photo.) The touch of

red does make the shot, though.

I detect a plaintive note in your comment. What's the beef? If bears can shit in the woods, we should feel comfortable ruining their view. That oughta teach 'em. Of course shootin' them critters really gives them a pause (paws???). It's all nature you know.

Actually, the truly remarkable thing about this scene is why the water doesn't all slide out to the left. Such is the bewitchment of Coca Cola that I didn't even notice the tilted horizon before I looked at the image on my computer.
