Normally I'm not a big fan of this sort of treatment. I didn't like the dramatic PS treatment on the picture to the left but here it works very well without giving the picture that heavy, mottled, deeply shadowed overlay. I think it just goes to show that there is no correct way to approach photography and PS work in general, just a feeling for what might work in each particular situation. The PS work here enhances the almost engraved feeling of the picture and adds a subtle dramatic mood to the image.

Nice processing! I'm not really back - just popping in. I've been over on Redbubble selling some of my stuff. But it's quickly becoming a storage site like many other sites. I'm looking for an art site. I missed the critiques and help I got here. I'm a lost and wandering soul..... hehehehe
