dberryhill 3 Posted July 8, 2008 There have been no multiple births nor adoptions. Someone told me that Groucho Marx was interviewing the father of a very large family. He asked the man why he had fathered so many children, to which the father replied "Because I love my wife." Then Groucho said "Well, I love my cigar. But I take it out now and then." Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 8, 2008 Lovely group photo with wonderful colors. I have to say that I question the ethics of a couple that has 16 kids in this over populated, but I guess they will at least grow up loved and well cared for which doesn't always happen in families with just one child. dberryhill 3 Posted July 8, 2008 This is a picture that only has value, if any, because of its subject. My mother use to say that people wouldn't pay a nickel to see an ant eat a bale of hay. I sometimes feel that subject matter is the least important element of contemporary photography. I agree fully with your assessment of this situation. I too wondered what would motivate people to have 16 kids. Why do that? But as I looked closely at each of them, they all look happy and healthy. And you are right - a family where there is only one or two kids is no assurance of happiness nor health. Link to comment
tinameikle 0 Posted July 10, 2008 Interesting shot of this very large family!! However, I feel sorry for the child in the buggie, who seems forgotten by everyone. By the shape of that dress, is she planning on making it 17 ?!! Rgds, Tina. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted July 13, 2008 It could not be shot better. Your photos have this flavor which is your trade mark. I do not see this consistantcy (can't spell it) on photo net. Link to comment
