Hello my old friend. This image bring up lots of thoughts. 6-8 years ago, I visited Israel, and had seen them all over. I would scared, even to lift up my camera. It is a good shot.

Thanks koushik, Tatjana and Bela. Yes Bela, 8 years ago marked the beginning of the second (I think second) intifada. This very eating place where these two soldiers are standing was blown apart in 2001 by a suicide bomber. See attached photo and you see on the left exactly where the soldiers are standing. Meir, Taking candids of young women on cell phones is a relatively low risk venture but photos of security forces with guns on alert after a terrorist attack takes that risk to a whole new level. Did you aslo bow & offer THEM a friendly smile? :-) Great result! Whatever your technique, it's working. Best, LM.

Meir, like very few people on this site your photographs go far beyond simply finding and capturing a motif. You portrait LIFE as it REALLY is. It takes a special type of person to just walk up to brutish reality and stare it in its face. As a photographer you epitomize the old Viking saying: A ship is safe in harbor but that is not the purpose it was built for. This particular photo illustrates your exceptional skill.
