paolo de faveri 1 Posted June 21, 2008 Hello everyone, seems like the weather in Italy, after almost a month of rain and cold, has finally decided to turn to good. Well, even a bit too good, for my taste, as I hate hot temperatures, and today we had 35°C (95°F). However, good weather makes hiking in the Alps easier. Here's a picture from my yesterday's wandering in Valtournenche, one of the many valleys of the Valle d'Aosta region. This valley is dominated at the top by the majestic peak of the Cervino, better known outside Italy as Matterhorn, from its Swiss name. Taken some minutes before sunset, it's a stitch of four horizontal frames. Your C&C are welcome as always, thanks for your time. Paolo Details: Eos 400D, TOkina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, tripod. GND 4x on the upper frame. Link to comment
salvatoresaitta 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I think here in Sicily is about 6 months I can't see a real rainy day...! And damn, here it's hot... I find your landscape a great shot, I love colourful and saturated pictures like yours...great composition and wonderful light Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted June 21, 2008 Cool technique - using a multi shot stitch like this can give almost a view camera depth of field. I take it you let the camera focus on the flowers for the lowest, and the mountain (infinity) for the highest? I'd just like to see a larger version to see the details. Link to comment
scottmerola 0 Posted June 21, 2008 Great saturation of colors and good composition, all the elements are well placed..even the clouds outline the peak. A very, very nice photo.....good job. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted June 22, 2008 Another masterpiece! Wow! You are really becoming the expert with stitching these amazing photos together. I agree with David S., the image has the feel and depth-of-field of a LF camera; it is tack-sharp in all areas. Wonderful work, Paolo. Keep it up! Ciao! Chris Link to comment

hjoseph7 1,515 Posted March 1, 2011 There is allot of depth in this one. The clouds in the background and the flowers in the foreground give this image a 3Dimensional aspect. Fantastic work ! Link to comment
