jeffsoo 0 Posted June 11, 2008 The unusual perspective is effective. That and the differing textures are what hold my interest with this image. Well done B/W conversion. Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Having viewed the very green, very wet after-the-rain shot first, I didn't think I'd like a B&W shot so much...but I do. Excellent work. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Jeff, thank you very much for the kind comments! Tim, thanks again and I'm glad you like this! I was wondering what Ton Mestrom would think. I really haven't done much black and white. But, for some images it just feels like a good fit. Regards, Dick Link to comment

rarmstrong 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Nice to hear from you, David! Thanks for the kind comment on this...it's about time that I put up something without flowers:-)!! Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted June 12, 2008 Well, I can sure tell you what Ton Mestrom thinks. You did very good making this a b&w. I think you can make this even better with some selective increasing of the contrast but to be honest it looks already very good. So you as well are entering the black zone. The more the merrier. rarmstrong 0 Posted June 12, 2008 Hey, Ton...Hello and thanks for the comments! It's kind of wierd how you begin to associate certain techniques and kinds of images with people here on PN. When it comes to black and white, I think of you and Max. It's good to hear from you! Dick Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted June 12, 2008 Well I certainly know how to graciously accept a compliment when it's handed out... Thanks for that Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted June 15, 2008 No expert on black and white but this seem to work well with the shadow and light. Link to comment
