Did you have an IR conversion done to a digital camera?

I love the IR effect on the trees but maybe the nearby square of lawn is a bit too much. The buffalo and its shadow are great!

Your view from the opposite direction versus the one you posted is a toss-up for me because I have NO experience with IR photography and therefore can't really make any suggestions for improvement on contrast, highlights, shadows, etc. I really don't know what is possible so I'll just say that I like both versions.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with this new toy.

While the grass is a bit overpowering, I like this one a lot. If you look at the buffalo face, it takes on a human or devil like appearance. And the horns reenforce the devilishness of it. Pretty cool.

Thanks, David. I thought the buffalo statue was pretty interesting, and I find it even moreso in light of your observation. I tried to tone down the grass, but I guess not enough. Do you prefer the version from the other point of view that does not include the grass?

Very good shot Doug. You maintained the detail in the buffalo, the lighting works well, the composition is good, and you obtained a good DOF. I like this one better than the other one also.

Linda says "Bizarre"? Hmmm.... I guess so ... but I sorta like it. I guess that just goes to prove how sick I am. :-) The green sky is interesting ... but I love the snowy look of the trees. The tones in the rest of the image really make the buffalo and his shadow stand out.

interesting angle and interesting use of technique. I very much like what you did here. About that grass, I think you need it as it is to accentuate the face of that bull. Your othere version could work as well but as it is it's a bit too much. Maybe if you toned it down a bit it would look better?

These last three images transport the viewer into the world of the artist (whether we want to go or not). This picture carries more than a hint of menace. With the shadowy form advancing on the surgically clean and precise

vista before it, it feels like the dark forces of the Id breaking through to intrude on the illusions of a rational and orderly world. Hide the children.
