A candid portrait of fiddler Dana Catlett on stage at O'Malley's Irish Pub in Weston, Missouri. She is a member of The Kelihans, a Celtic band from Kansas City.

As I wrote earlier: I like the whole O' Malley's series. Good decision to post this one. Best regards, El

Oh, it's double 7 anon., no question

Very nice composition, depth of field, pose, exposure, contrast. One little quibble: It would be better if the out of focus bright spot behind the chin did not compete for the viewer's attention.

Thanks so much for your comments. In general I agree with your quibble, Jerry, but in this case -- for good or ill -- I decided to pretty much leave the image alone. Warm regards...

Beautiful portrait! I like your point of view, and the way you captured the expression on her face is simply outstanding! The B&W tone adds to the effect! Amazing stuff!!

I agree with Vamsi. Really good b/w technique as usual. It has your touch with the toning. I'd say pretty sweet , and especially for those hard to get stage shots! p.s. Ever happen to go to pere marquette? I love it there. Near Alton.
