alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted May 1, 2008 From the Wikipedia: The flower head matures into a spherical "clock" (also known as "wishies") containing many single-seeded fruits (achenes). Each achene is attached to a pappus of fine hairs, which enable wind-dispersal over long distances. OK so it's a dandelion and we've all seen lots of them. Doesn't mean yours isn't nice. I like the central brown part showing through the white globe. I like the clarity and DOF. The color palate is very pretty. But IMO you might lighten overall to make the white POP more. And then blow those achenes to kingdom come! Cheers ~ Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted May 1, 2008 "Achenes" is pretty leaden but "wishies" is wonderful. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted May 2, 2008 The background is well neutralized and the blur is fit too! PDE Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted May 3, 2008 The POP was good! I like that version. Now blow real hard and then show us what is left. Have you ever discovered my two dandelion images? They are in the macro folder. Yes, I had to get it out of my system too... Link to comment
