This is quite interesting. I'll be honest. For a minute or two I thought you had pirated my image and adapted it. (http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6337534)

I know that this subject matter is an obvious one for any photographer, so I have no doubt that there are hundreds of similar image out there, but these "66" road paintings are all over the place. So you apparently stood in almost the exact same spot as I did when taking mine. To add to my thoughts about copying, is that some of the vehicles on the Interstate look like they are in the same position as mine (the truck right at the telephone pole for instance). Well, finally I figured out that I was too quick to jump to my piracy thoughts.

I must say I like your image better than my own. You have those wonderful clouds, and your color saturation is far superior. And, I think the wide angle combined with the vertical orientation works better with the subject matter. Very well done.

BTW, while you were in Ludlow, did you meet with the mayor? Doug Knowles owns the land and is quite an interesting fellow.

Your shot of this is so superior to mine that I feel like removing mine. :) You've obviously used a polarizer, and you have that amazing sky. I need to get better at enhancing my photos through various techniques. (I'll learn!) Thanks for setting my goals high.

Thanks for the comments. David, It IS amazing how much a like the photos are. We stood in almost the exact same location. Should have been an old house just to the right of you. Old Ludlow has some great old buildings. But no I have not met the mayor. Crystal I did use a Polorizer which really helped in giving me the sky. Jeffery
