alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted April 22, 2008 OMG do I love this photo!! This is what I want to be when I grow up (well not the old man part :) The photo critique part: DOF, lighting, composition couldn't be better. The color palate (at least on my monitor and lord knows our computer systems are vastly different) might be a little too on the yellow/orange side. It's the moment that you captured, Loic, that is priceless. My parents' aging experience consumed me. I spent many, many years with senior citizens in all stages of physical and mental capability. Poignant photos of the "old folk" doing their "thing" - don't get taken often enough. I am so glad you shot this and shared it. It gives me hope for the future and it made my day! Cheers ! tonmestrom 4 Posted April 27, 2008 Loic, it's a very good portrait although in need of some serious colour correction. Link to comment

loic brohard 0 Posted April 27, 2008 Many thanks Ton, I have a few other WIP "version" of this photo, including a B&W which is very close to yours. Regarding the color version, you would be surprised to see the colors shown on the RAW version, anyway indeed the colors of the one I did upload are not correct (I have been a bit too fast pushing the upload button) and you version is definitely better. I will again train myself in PS to "reproduce". Thanks for your useful input and time spent on the rework. I think this possibility under PN to post reworked photo by other photographers (on top of the verbal critique) is fantastic. One image is better than thousand words ! Cheers, Loic Link to comment
