Good morning Lou Ann. I'm enjoying all of your recent butterfly images, but this one stands out as being very good and quite lovely. Nice contrast, clarity and with shadows therefore what is not to like about it.

Have never done insect/butterfly photography before. Any input,

comments, ratings, etc. are greatly appreciated! :-)

A most artistic macro! Well done!!

This is most definitely my favourite of your recent butterfly images. The swallowtail is well posed overall -- I particularly like the arrangement of the legs. The sharpness and detail on the wings and head is good too.

 

I might be tempted to burn down the brightness off the BG leaf a little and bring up the butterfly in comparison. But, it is certainly good as it is as well.
