bosshogg 4 Posted April 17, 2008 It should be obvious, but to catch all the expressions, it is necessary (at least for us old guys with failing eyes) to view large. Link to comment
radioactive 0 Posted April 17, 2008 The warm and fuzzy side of David. Wonderful. I can imagine a word ballon over each head, each with a fun or funny commnet. this could, and would make a great greeting card as long as it had the right caption. You are a braver man than I to try and capture these kinds of shots. Kudos to you My Boss. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 17, 2008 Thanks. Pretty tame stuff compared to your fare. I just loved the self absorption in all of the faces except for the center girl, who saw what I was up to and just gave me her best smile and coy look. Take care amigo. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 17, 2008 It is so sweet and funny, seeing the " business" of the faces, so different from your other stuff.( I see your princess as well on the L)They look exactly a small sample of adults but the innocence of childhood is the added value to the scene. Even the middle one that saw your camera, is already smiling her coquettic best smile.... LOL It is wonderful to see your soft side, that I knew exist...( with the other ironic one that I like too...!) great timing and lovely, lovely scene. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted April 17, 2008 I agree with Shane and Pnina - this is a wonderfully natural shot. I love the variety of expressions, from the yawn to what seems to be an intense conversation. I may be wrong, but I might brighten it a tad. In any event, its a nicely captured fun moment. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted April 17, 2008 this is priceless. little girls in all of their glory. i love how natural they all are. i can't imagine them all sitting still to get those up-dos! what fun! Link to comment
cjtj50 0 Posted April 18, 2008 Oh my...this is so great. Natural at it's best. Take care Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted April 18, 2008 Precious little critters, rendered with love and your usual acute observation. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 It is amusing to see them as the uninhibited souls that they are. I can just as easily imagine them as twenty something young mothers, or sixty something grandmothers, chatting and enjoying a social moment. At five years old, they are already so socialized. There is so much hope and innocence in their eyes. If only that outlook were a reflection upon the state of the world. Thanks, my dear friend. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 Yes, it is the variety of postures and facial expressions which endear this image to me. You may be right about lighter. Thanks Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 For the granddaughter's fifth birthday, they had the party at a place on the mall that specialized in dolling up little girls. You can see the bag they all got, and each got the hair done, makeup, the tiara, and s stuffed animal in the bag. What next huh. Remember back when you had a few friends over to the back yard, and had cake and ice cream? Not anymore. Glad you enjoyed. It's a long way from Bourbon Street. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 Thanks. Yes, I love the naturalness. Even the center one while posing, seems somehow unpretentiously sincere. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 Thanks. I have to stop doing these saccharine images, or I will be thrown out of the crusty curmudgeon club. Can't have that. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 18, 2008 No doubt that puppies or sunsets will be coming to this portfolio soon... Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted April 18, 2008 These little princesses adored in sweet colour attire are so cute & adorable with their lively vivid expressions. Love it. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted April 18, 2008 I like how each brings her own personality to the mix. Almost like a cross between princesses and the seven dwarves, each adding to the cuteness. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 Thanks to each of you for taking a look. They are quite a crew indeed, and I'm glad that I shared it with you and you found it pleasing. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 18, 2008 I forgot to say that I love the various expressions of the children in this shot. It is a great photo and I love it! If I could rate it twice I would. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 18, 2008 I don't care what you say, I'm going back to beat up, run down, rusty, cruddy, caustic, socially unacceptable, disgusting subject matter for awhile. People are starting to get the wrong impression. LOL Thanks though for your kind comments. Link to comment
