Very interesting! That range of textures, the interplay between the near and far planes, the color and light, all work together to produce a dynamic image. Regards, Keith.

This is a wonderful, dreamy abstract that just exudes a sort of peace and tranquility that I cannot easily explain. Perhaps it is partly that it reminds me of many childhood days spent laying on a hillside with friends and just looking up into the sky and placing our own internal interpretations upon what was really there. To be honest, I'd love this even more without the chain.

Pretty kool Jeff, great abstract making me feel like I'm in an industrial boiler room, grimy with dirt and sweat amongst steaming hot rusty cylinders and hoisting chains swinging around!

Greetings from Budapest! I'm viewing this on a laptop that doest stretch the images and is poor in color rendering, but still this photo surely is most promising and very welcome addition to your portfolio. Next week I'll evaluate this properly while back home...

Original and beautiful semi-abstract. I like very much the smiling division of space. Ciao, Alx

Snow melting down a glass door pane, clanging chain...death knells of winter with a peek of blue light, promising the advent of spring. It works well on the senses.

The chain's angle implies motion, as do the trails left by the droplets. The composition and color are wonderful, but it's the tension in that captured energy that makes this image particularly intriguing to me. Unlike a still life, I infer that everything here will change in the blink of an eye -- an abstract in transition. Warm regards, Joe

A wonderfully original composition, full of transitions and variety in shapes, textures and colors. I particularly like the metallic sheen at the bottom which anchors what could be otherwise a disorienting composition. Putting something as concrete as a chain in an otherwise abstract image is very effective.

Mehmet: Thanks in return. Your work always inspires.

Keith: Thanks for the analysis. It's greatly appreciated!

Barbara: I'm glad you like this. This composite was taken at a greenhouse through the condensation on the glass.

Cherlyn: Again, I don't have access to the beautiful sights you capture, so I have to take pictures of little ones like this. I always appreciate your comments.

David: Well, I'm glad this evoked childhood memories and associations. I thought the chain looked like a little ghost, hovering down over the glass. The title is ala Fleetwood Mac.

Janusz: Thanks always.

Kirk: I didn't think of this as an industrial scene, but now I can't help but see it that way. I like the association you conjured.

Markku: What are you doing in Budapest? Now that I think about it, what am I doing in Boston for that matter? Enjoy your travels.

Alex: You made me smile.

Donna: Death and rebirth. A ponderous chain.... You poet, you.

Donn: Thanks immensely for stopping by.

Photo F: Appreciated. Always.

Vladimir: I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

Mauno: Thanks for the vote of confidence. I didn't put this up for ratings because it's too weird.

Joseph P: This was in a greenhouse in the tropics room. Quite humid. I conjecture that the mist on the windows forms and reforms often, so I think your idea of the scene changing in the blink of an eye was probably an accurate one.

Roger: My favorite part is the reflection at the bottom, which was the glare off a light and puddle on the floor. Appreciated.

Claudio: Digital alchemy. I love it.

Joseph T: Thanks. And also thanks for your comments last week.

incredible composition - I'm seeing an ongoing chain of events engulfed in smog and steeped in industrial waste. It's as if light is fighting for life.

Then again, maybe too many cokes and spins in the playground ; ) <-- that was foolish, I just came back to enjoy another look, took my glasses off and find a long march to the chain and much more. WoW

... layering color and texture and images with just enough "reality" to make it a photo. This is truly a lovely image, Jeff, one that I can't imagine coming from the mind of anybody else on PN.
