gordonjb 10,860 Posted March 23, 2008 A good composition and as well a statement about heritage. I like how you have caught all these faces in profile. They appear to be looking in reverence at something out of the frame ? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 23, 2008 Janusz, I appreciate your feedback. Gord, thanks for all of them, this one is really a statment, as Vienna the ellegant modern city , and that group are worlds appart. I followed them a bit and saw the wonder in their eyes... did not want to interfer and took them from the side. What was really interesting is the 3 generation well different looking As you see I learn all the time, and took into account your evaluaion on the other that helped a lot to finish my hesitations.....;-)) Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted March 23, 2008 What a depth! great contrast & details, very good rendering in the other way, Pnina!!! Best regards Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Pnina, I really like the generational idea, particularly in the three figures on the left. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted March 24, 2008 Great line-up of humanity. The profiles work so well, and the depth of field is just right as I don't think the background has much to add to the image. In a perfect world, I would have the woman on the right wearing a scarf that was a bit more colorful. How's that for a nit to pick? Very nice work. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted March 24, 2008 That this is well rendered and technically great is certainly no surprise. And that you would be drawn to this group isn't surprising either. I especially like that there are not only three generations, but they're arranged as they are, as opposed to all lined up by birth order. This is a wonderful capture, and even more interesting to me in that it's sharply in focus, has a soft feeling that I can't really describe another way right now, and it is a very powerful image. jimmcnitt 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Hi Pina: It's such a hard thing to get a useful photo of any kind when trying to shoot unnoticed on the street. To get group portrait like this is extraordinary. Thanks for your interest and e-mail. Best --jim Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted March 25, 2008 I like your title,Pnina, very befitting for the image. You manage to get the different generation doing the same thing of tradition at the same time. The blur bg is very good here to let viewers focus on the subject matter. ( I replied your email already) Link to comment
