bosshogg 4 Posted February 27, 2008 Very nice framing and the tones seem just right. Nothing blown out, and shadow only where it needs to be. I haven't made up my mind on the face in the window. Part of me says take it out, and part says it's a positive addition. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Thanks, I'm not sure that it's a face in the window. I didn't see it until I started playing with the image and then it came out. It almost looks like a hanging glass planter or something. But it is odd...kind of adds a little mystery to the image. Have a good night. Dick Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted February 27, 2008 For the love of Pete, man, can't you see you've done what millions of folks have tried to do since the beginning of time? It's a GHOST!!! A ghost man! Call the press, call the National Security Council, call all the authorities. You are going to be famous with a capital F. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 27, 2008 A ghost or not ..;-))I like that old window, the old wood texture and form and the soft colors. The in /out light and dark is nice and the bit blurred ghost/face? adds to the mystery....Nice image Richard. Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted February 27, 2008 I like the simplicity and light colors, drawing the eye to the beauty of a simple aged window frame and wall that might otherwise have not been "seen". We have things hanging in our windows, on fishing line; whether this is that or a ghost, it belongs. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Hello, saw this on my way home from work. The light on the house was nice. I couldn't see the "object" in the window until I started to work with the highlights and black levels in Aperture...I was surprised. But, I thought it might add a little mystery to the image. Thanks for the comment. Dick Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted February 27, 2008 it's not a photo, it's a painting and a very good one at that. It's a great photo and those few bright colourbits make it really outstanding. I like it a lot, you did great here. Seems though you make most of these to from your way to work. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Thank you again. The image in the window seems to have captured some interest also. My best to you, Dick Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted February 28, 2008 I love the splash of bright green in the midst of the black and white. I agree that I'm not crazy about whatever is in the window and I think I'd clone it out, but still a very strong image. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Thank you! It is really interesting how the object in the window is either interesting or distracting. Have a good night, Dick Link to comment
aramat57 3 Posted April 29, 2008 I like the "ghost" or whatever in the upper pane. What I would clone out are the two bright pin-points in the dark areas of the pane. The colors and detail here is just perfect. Best regards, Tammy Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted April 29, 2008 Thank you for your comments! The image in the window is a glass hanging planter. I've been back to look at this again so I know for sure. Thanks for pointing out the bright specks on the glass. I should be able to get rid of those easily. Regards, Dick Link to comment
