This is a Hot Hit! I would be hard pressed to deliver something on the same level. Certainly one of the very very best I have seen lately.

Thanks to both of you. I was just cruising around, fishing for images, and saw this one as well as several others.

how did the painted dude know that there would be a garbage bin there (he seems to be pointing at it)?

Interesting colour combinations. Certainly, the garbage container helps to make the image. Well seen. Cheers, Micheal

By now you may have deduced that many of my images either have garbage containers in them, or belong in garbage containers. I'm having fun making you guys think about that.

And, maybe the garbage container was there when they painted the guy, and he is a mental note to throw your trash in a container. Who knew?

I once heaped praise on an image as having the best trash container that I'd ever seen. You have just outdone that other image. I've saved a copy of your larger image and I may have to use it as a CD cover for some of my classical music. A great image and not deserving of the bin.

David you have "trash can Karma", I think....this is great! The funny thing, well there's several, is that the bricks look painted on, this feels like several images "chained" together....the brick wall, the blue wall, the black wall, it's hard to tell what's real and I love that about this image. You did a good job on rendering the colors too. One man's junk is another man's symphony. A "Meyer's" classic....folks are going to start calling your work "Meyer's" due to product recognition....sorta like "Coors", and you know it's quality.

This impresses at so many levels. First, color-wise there's a limited, but incredibly effective palette, which gives an initial visual massage before you're sucker-punched by the sheer weight behind the prettiness. And then the world is deconstructed into ownership and trash. And the dandy in the background has to look away.

Gosh, Shawn, it's just an ordinary trash receptacle. But I'll graciously accept the "Best Trash Can Picture of the Night" award from you. I am humbled.

Thanks. I think a "trash can mind" would most aptly describe my state, but let's not quibble. Now about that brand recognition thing. Couldn't you have used something more elegant than Coors? You are becoming a master at backhanded compliments. I remember a few images ago that your comment was you loved to come look at my stuff so you could read others' comments. What a pal! LOL

Dave: I like everything about this image -- content, execution, and ironic wit. All Dave Meyer hallmarks. Quite a statement, and one helluva shot. Regards...

Aside from the" impossible" composition ( a fact that it is possible... with the right eye)what caought my eye first was the reserved and private property... The funny thing is, the finger of the figure pointing to the " reserved" ( probably private ...;-)) garbage can .... the colors, situation, composition, all is really original, David.
