Matt Laur 2,201 Posted January 29, 2008 Looking over the ancient walls, and not-so-ancient (but very good) restaurant atop the walled city of Marostica in Veneto, Italy. Trying to get the most dynamic range out of a single exposure. Thanks for looking, and for comments. Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted January 30, 2008 I don't know how you can divy out such a great store of shots over such a protracted period of time: you probably open your Christmas presents one each hour. All the Italian village shots have been treasures. Here again are rich color tones and light (always shot at just the right time) joining marvelously attractive settings. Maybe the Italian Tourist Bureau is paying you to space these out. Link to comment
laurent-paul 1 Posted January 31, 2008 The balance and contrast between warm and cold tones is really amazing, and rendered so well thanks to the composition. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 31, 2008 In and outer space Matt. In space for people, outer for nature, both for people to live and enjoy.Well combined together. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted February 3, 2008 Very well made. I love the composition with the near by very warn saturated colours and the distant blurred soft colours of the hills and mountains. Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks, everyone. I like this image, myself, for a few reasons. First, this is what it actually felt like to be standing there. The masonry, grounds, walls, clouds, and hills really were taking on some tremendous colors. It's a gorgeous place. Secondly, this was part of my getting-to-know-you period with an ultra-wide lens, and a chance to really see what kind of incredible depth of field you can get when shooting at 10mm. Thirdly, you see that little inn and restaurant there? They had just poured me some very nice local wine. Link to comment
