photis santamouris 23 Posted December 28, 2007 I like every element in this capture.I can feel the cold and the bird's agony for food and surviving. There are times, like here, where nature speaks louder than any human expression.Best wishes for these cold but joyful days. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 28, 2007 Nice pair there, the lonely tree with his lonely occupant. Can be a hard life sometimes. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 28, 2007 Very moody Joe. The BG that is seen through the FG.is well demonstrating the bareness of the trees. The bird adds to that feeling of isolation. the bluish/gray tone is very compatible to the whole. Nice and well observed. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted December 28, 2007 Beautiful, moody dusk scene, Joe...! The solitary bird on the tree adds greatly to the mood.... Link to comment

vicenteconcha 8 Posted December 28, 2007 In the winter environment internal feelings are expressed much better. The loneliness of the scenes, the leafless trees and snow aswell as its natural purity, contribute to that purpose very well. The bird an excellent symbol at the scene. Congratulations. Happy New Year. Vicente Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted December 29, 2007 A very nice image and the bird is a key element for my visual pleasure. The Blue/Grey tone certainly conveys the sense of a cold day. The dark trunk of the central tree helps to separate it from the background trees. Sometimes it is hard to gauge the folks at PN but in the past when I submitted scenes like this with a blue/grey tone they got a cooler reception compared to the ones where the tone was more on the lighter or whiter side. There might have been other factors. I certainly enjoy this image and best regards Link to comment

terrygilroy 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Lovely shot, would have been better balanced if the bird had been in the top left of the tree - yeah, I know, don't be ridiculous. Best wishes for 2008 Link to comment
