Saludos, Link to comment
Link to comment
janc 0 Posted January 17, 2008 Hola Sigfrid. Enhorabuena. Saludos. Link to comment
pmj 6 Posted April 21, 2008 Please note the following: This image has been selected for discussion. It is not necessarily the "best" picture the Elves have seen this week, nor is it a contest. Discussion of photo.net policy, including the choice of Photograph of the Week should not take place here, but in the href="/bboard/forum?topic_id=1562">Site Feedback forum. The About Photograph of the Week page tells you more about this feature of photo.net. Before writing a contribution to this thread, please consider our reason for having this forum: to help people learn about photography. Visitors have browsed the gallery, found a few striking images and want to know things like why is it a good picture, why does it work? Or, indeed, why doesn't it work, or how could it be improved? Try to answer such questions with your contribution. Link to comment
erikadams 0 Posted April 21, 2008 Here's a photo I can really sink my teeth into. I especially like the presence of the trolley to the left, peeking over the hill. I like the choice of sepia - it makes the reflection from the trolley tracks look golden. All extraneous objects are excluded from the frame, leaving a strong graphic element to the image. Nice work. I'd encourage everyone to visit Sigfrid's San Francisco folder - some very nice images in there. Link to comment

atlatling 4 Posted April 21, 2008 I was immediately caught up with the very excellent composition of this image. Absolutely dead on for pleasing the viewer with no extranious material within the picture to compete with the subject. Cropped perfectly as well. I liked the choice of sepia as did Erik above. You get my vote of approval on this splendid piece. Willie the Cropper Link to comment
doctorbabaguy 0 Posted April 22, 2008 Simple and graphic, excellent balance. The color is somewhat metallic to my eyes; perhaps black and white would have been more interesting here. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted April 22, 2008 Excellent composition & light. Probably early morning from the lack of passengers. The light adds a good glow to the tracks. The second cable car adds a great deal. Maybe crop a bit of the cloudless sky out? Link to comment
tklipp 0 Posted April 22, 2008 A striking image -- the soft copper tone, detail in the street and lettering on the the streetcar. But I'm left feeling like something is missing. Just not sure what. Link to comment
douglas_peck 0 Posted April 22, 2008 Wow! I can't stop looking at it. In addition to the technical excellence, my eyes keep going back to the silhouette of the man sitting in the car on the right. Where's he going? Where's he been? This is a great capture. Congratulations! Link to comment
ge_ma 0 Posted April 22, 2008 Uff!!!vaya multitud... Saludos: gema.Moderator note again regarding using translators to provide us with the English version of your comments as well Please...Translation: Uff!!! multitude goes... An approach really according to the title, you manage to give the whole sensation of highway and vehicle in spite of being tramcars. The very nice scale of color. A jab for the vehicle of the left side. Greetings: gem. Link to comment

Karim Ghantous 1,776 Posted April 25, 2008 Wow, I love this! My favourite photos are usually uncluttered, simple yet strong compositions. Very well done. :-) The only thing I dislike is the sepia tone. I guess some will like it though. Link to comment
