Thanks. It's kind of jacked up saturation wise. I used a PS plugin from Optik Verve lab. Glad you found it interesting.

Thanks to the both of you. I'll admit that it came out better than I thought it was going to when I first decided to play with this shot.

this is a peachy looking photo. Detail, colour, contrast, dadada, are all great. Now for the ulitmate teaser: try to pass the round screw-on cap of a V8-juice-bottle through the square metal piece. Cheers, Micheal

I like the simplicity of the composition, David, the colors and textures of the weathered post and molds that serve as a backdrop for this interesting old piece of hardware. I'd have preferred a little less glare on both the hardware and the weather whitened areas of the post, possibly through the use of a polarizer or diffuser. Nicely seen.

Very creative and artistically done. Tones are wonderful! Thank you for sharing this primitive photo.

David,

Continuing the tour through your portfolio and my eye keeps landing on this image which until just now I had not viewed large...what an interesting post! I have to say that I like all of it and the glare on the hardware doesn't particularly bother me...it's just the light that was present when you took the shot. I love the colors and it's odd what strikes you sometimes, but the bit of rust as the staple enters the post just adds that extra kick to this...very nice!

regards,

Dick

Thank you very much. I'm really fond of that green and yellow growth myself, but the buckle is the heart and soul of the image. Hope you are having a lot of fun with that D300.

Thanks for taking a look. All the more so, since this is one of the older images that doesn't show up on the home page. I believe the only thing that is done here is crop, increase contrast, sharpen and up color saturation. Other than that it is just like it was.
