christos_chatzoglou 0 Posted January 2, 2008 Very beatifull , the combination of the colors is the key of the success of this photo. Attention there are some artifacts easy to correct in p\s, on the sky. Happy new year. Christos. Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted January 2, 2008 Thanks Chritos for nice comments. I am not sure what you mean by 'artifacts' but I will be happy if you explain more and how you suggest this to be corrected. I also wish you a happy 2008 ! Link to comment
christos_chatzoglou 0 Posted January 2, 2008 Loic, hi again. If you look carefully over the peak of the higher hill and a little right, you will notice what i mean "artifacts". Best rgds. Christos. Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted January 3, 2008 OK, thanks alot Chritos, I can see it. But when I view LARGER, it is not there anymore.... I am not sure it is linked to the photo itself.... Does anyone knows ? Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted January 4, 2008 Great photo! I always view photos Larger when that view is available so the artifacts don't really bother me. My understanding is that Photo.net re-compresses images we upload to save space on their server. To eliminate this, you should upload a larger file - bigger in dimension with higher DPI. If your original on this shot is larger, you can try a substitution right here with the Options, Edit Details choices. Just upload a replacement and refresh your browser to display the replacement photo. Someday I hope to see this part of the world. For now, I let you take me there :) Cheers ~ Link to comment
axelg 3 Posted August 16, 2008 I imagined Dead Vlei as a much larger pan. I will go to Namibia soon and hope to have time to organize a daytrip or a weekend there. At what time of the day did you take this shot? Best regards, Axel G. Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted August 16, 2008 Hi Axel, believe me Dead Vlei is MUCH MUCH bigger than it looks on this photo... I have spend a few days in the Sossusvlei area, all in mornings. Except golden minutes/hours which are of course amazing, the place is so magic that any time of the day is stunning. Loic Link to comment
