What a unique view of this famous site! I couldn't help but be disappointed by the glut of tourist traffic in the parking lots. I guess the days of wandering that site in solitude must be over. Lovely place, though, and the surround is very interesting!

Unavoidable unfortunately with 3 millions visitors a year.... However... the parking lot close to the site itself will soon be history. There will soon be a car park on the main land, and visitors will only be able to join the site by foot or by shuttle... The days of wandering that site in solitude are not completely over with appropriate choice of time of the day, time of the year....

... great to see the effects of those ripping tides and how the sand accumulates. This must have been wonderful to soar over the Mount.

Hey, now I more clearly understand what they meant in the restaurant when the talked about the wondrously tasty lamb I ate there in 1970 having grazed on plants in the salt flats! Thank you very much for making that clear for me. What a beautiful aerial shot!
