judyroush 0 Posted November 1, 2007 What a unique view of this famous site! I couldn't help but be disappointed by the glut of tourist traffic in the parking lots. I guess the days of wandering that site in solitude must be over. Lovely place, though, and the surround is very interesting! Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted November 1, 2007 Unavoidable unfortunately with 3 millions visitors a year.... However... the parking lot close to the site itself will soon be history. There will soon be a car park on the main land, and visitors will only be able to join the site by foot or by shuttle... The days of wandering that site in solitude are not completely over with appropriate choice of time of the day, time of the year.... Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted November 3, 2007 ... great to see the effects of those ripping tides and how the sand accumulates. This must have been wonderful to soar over the Mount. Link to comment
louise bridge 0 Posted November 3, 2007 Hey, now I more clearly understand what they meant in the restaurant when the talked about the wondrously tasty lamb I ate there in 1970 having grazed on plants in the salt flats! Thank you very much for making that clear for me. What a beautiful aerial shot! Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Many thanks Louise. I am sorry to hear this question of 'agneau de pre-sale' did haunt you to a point you still remember it after 37 years but I am glad I could help you answer ;-) http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agneau_de_pr%C3%A9-sal%C3%A9 Link to comment
