Another shot of reflections on an office building in downtown St. Pete. Right out of the camera. Instantly "attacked" by the 3/3 and 4/4'ers. Heavy sigh.

This looks like one of those fun house mirrors, the distortion to the shapes is quite interesting. I like the colours here the sky is such a soft blue and the building looks like sandstone. I think some of those 3/3s are being generated by idiots with software not actual people or so I have read in the forums. I know last week within seconds of posting I had half a dozen 3/3s and 4/4 but the next day many but not all had disappeared. A fine image you have captured here in spite of any ratings.

Much thanks. I was thinking about the distortion this afternoon and wondered - what if they actually built distorted buildings. Would they reflect with straight lines? Hmmmmmm.

Thanks for your comment and rating. Too bad that curvy buildings probably wouldn't reflect straight lines - I'll probably never know :( But my niece had an interesting idea: photograph the reflections on the buildings at different times of day, a la Monet's Haystacks. When my Nikon is back from repair, I will give that a try. Cheers -

Don't you see the monster looming through the windows? If I had been you, I would have been quite afraid. Come on! Who wants to know what straight lines would look like? I can tell you: it would have looked like... straight lines. Nice picture indeed. One could have cropped differently, reducing the "I am a building" aspect, but then this is a matter of opinion, nothing else.

Late for the party, Roger. Your crop is excellent and had not so many people rated this photo as presented, I would modify my photo per your post. Next monster building :) Cheers -
