Thanks much for your vote of confidence. I'm surprised to see so many 4/4 voters. The number of views on this photo is pretty high. It's not like you see water spouts every day. This was my first ever sighting and I was shaking like a leaf even though it was pretty far away.

There must have been a '4/4 bot' operating at the time you posted this image. Simply deplorable!

Very nice capture, has a very dramatic feel to it. I wonder if it's due to it being in B&W.

Thanks for your comment. We'll never know about the B&W vs color. Even the color print was just about B&W due to the inclement weather and the composition of the nearby materials (concrete and broken rock, dark green bush so dark it was almost black and a very grey sky). I might try to tint the B&W for grins.

It has a dramatic feel because it's an excellent capture of a very dramatic phenomenon! It makes me nervous just looking at it.

Thanks! Shooting this made me realize why I'm not a Jim Cantori or other "hands on" weather person.

Maybe I would have made it level but HEY YOU GOT IT ON FILM ~ happy dance! ;)
