radioactive 0 Posted September 19, 2007 This may or maynot be true... but this is the story as I see. Here lives a single guy...(possibly divorced.. again) A man who Bar-B-Ques a LOT!!! ponders life and football from the cool shade of his back yard... OFTEN. and throws all the laundry in the same wash. On Monday he put in his white boxers, two white Tees and his white socks in with his dark blue Tee and Blue shorts. Of corse he ment to do that... becasue now all his underware matches. And after all... isnt that what is most important? See David... a full story, Back story, and parrable... derived from one photo. that is the mark of a photographic master. Or a sign that I have an overactive imagination. Either way. Great shot. bosshogg 4 Posted September 19, 2007 Your story works for me. The guy just wanted to be color coordinated. Where the hell you been? Damn kids today don't have any work ethic....... LOL Link to comment
radioactive 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Hey.. even I need a few weeks off from the laborious task of photographing half nekid sexy women in flirtatious and alluring positions, then photo eiditing them into marvelous imaginary illusion of fantastical grand-ure LOL Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Great job of capturing a personality study without including the person. Like Shane, I can imagine this guy clearly--a life constructed around propane and cleanliness. I'm recommending a book to you that I happened upon the other day. It reminded me of your eye for aging things with character: Gone: Photographs of Abandonment on the High Plains by Merril Gilfillan. It's a collection of photos of cast-off houses, schools, and churches in the midst of glorious decay. Anyhow, nice capture. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted September 19, 2007 what a cuddly place. An one-eyed house with some ivy as a patch for the blind eye, producing blue underwear. That hummingbird feeder looks there as a teaser. It's also interesting to see the open space in front, yet the building seems to be crammed in the bush. Is this your summer cottage? Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 19, 2007 Thanks for the comment and the book recommendation. I shall seek it out. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 19, 2007 You are back to your old form. The one eyed house is really just a shed of some sort. The house is on the right. No offense, but this is kind of how I picture your space. Blue laundry (maybe red from V8), but uniform in whatever color, a bbq and a chair to sit out and watch that Canadian moose and other wildlife while sitting in the chair with a Mountie hat to keep the sun off. And, of course, drinking a tall V8. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted September 19, 2007 actually, you're right about the blue laundry, though the rest is not accurate. M Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted September 20, 2007 David, when I view your images I always appreciate your keen eye. This guy is definitely a bachelor, a smart bachelor doesn't have any "whites", that way he only has to do one load of laundry. Or, maybe these used to be whites, would still make him a bachelor. bosshogg 4 Posted September 20, 2007 Thanks. If I had to guess, I would bet there might have been a white item or two. But now he is totally coordinated. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 24, 2007 Who lives here, Hansel and Gretel? A storybook setting with magical light. I get a kick out of the wash hanging on the line, Dad washed his blue shirt with the whites again. How come the ratings are so low? 3/3? I'M insulted! Oh well, there's no accounting for lack of taste. Link to comment
