dberryhill 3 Posted September 19, 2007 Mike, I love the grit in the foreground to the car moving away in the distance. It has that from here to there feel. I really like it! Link to comment
evb 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Mike: As with most of your images, nice eye and powerful composition. This also reminds me of a much darker photograph taken by George Tice in the late afternoon with a similar mood. This is a great film shot! Link to comment
nickmeertens 0 Posted September 21, 2007 This is a fantastic picture Mike. Seeing things like this I realize how I miss the rough edges and grain in so much of the blinking, clean, smooth, uniform and boring digital pictures on sites like PN (mine included). I'm gonna check Ebay right now to see if I can get that Rolleiflex I've been thinking about... Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,319 Posted September 22, 2007 Thanks everyone for taking the time to make a comment on this picture. I appreciate it. Danny, thanks for that reference to Robert Frank, I looked up his pictures, he's outstanding, I may have to get his book. Edward, thanks for introducing me to George Tice, another fine photographer I should've known about. & Nick, if I could afford a Rolliflex I'd sure have one. Thanks again. Link to comment

wp 0 Posted April 2, 2008 As stated above great mood! My fav part about a photography. Good tones here and the hard contrast and grane also really adds alot to this. Its good to see some "real" photography on here. I though everything was animated and extremely over photoshoped there for a min. It really is good to see this kind of photography still is out there. Take CareWP Link to comment
