HA!

It is AAA "aproved!"

A tough shot with "Cooter" apparently using Crayola for his signage, but you got it.

Thank you for the laugh.

Cheers.

And with a TV dish so you can watch football while waiting for our expert mechanic to service your automobile...

My guess is the whole thing is a sham, and it is just a place for the boys to get together, drink beer and watch the game. The dish gives it away. Customers? I don't think so. Wondering if the sign should not have read "AA approved."

Yeah, isn't that animal part stuck on the door special. As to where do I find them, all one need do is take off and drive seventy five hundred miles all over tarnation (or this nation if you prefer), and, viola! There they are! No trick at all. The real trick is to find the gems in your own back yard. That's where the mining can be a lot more difficult.

the blue wall amost mimics the blue sky...with this PoV, I have the impression that the whole thing is totally flat if it were noot for the church-type roof behind...very nice...

Thanks. I originally spotted the building to the rear, with its tilting spear on top. Stopped in front of that building and took some pics, and then noticed this little gem. As it turns out, I liked this better. Someone here must have quite a sense of humor.

in this case I suspect the AAA stands for American Association of Anthropologists. You know what's my concern now? That if after two hundred years some kind ETs will land and all they will find is your photos, they will think the humankind was really weird and went the dodo way because they couldn't even assemble a single building right. Maybe you should post also photos of splendid hotels, nice houses, BMWs, etc. Cheers, Micheal

It appears that the great master put the camera in my hand to explore human folly. Those other things are best left to the many who enjoy shooting them. I will grant you, that anyone having to use my photos as a gauge, might very well have a skewed view of us. But maybe more truth than we care to admit.

Seriously though, after I finish the trip images, I expect to be embarking in some new directions. I'm down to the last four or five I think.

No trip in sight. I can't afford another one. It just means I'm going to try and diversify a bit and will have to rely more on my imagination than I do when I go on a trip. When you travel, every mile presents something to photograph. When you are grazing around your own home pastures, it gets a little tougher.

Somewhere in Hazzard... Ok Boss Hogg... this shot is definatley YOURS!!!

It fits so well. I think you should find shots that fit the Hazzard theam... Like the Boars Nest Road House Sallon... or maybe Uncle Jessy's old Farm, or Rosco's police car stuck in a corn feild. this image sparked so much imagination and it is inspired by the one and only Boss Hogg. Love it.

Thanks a lot man. I kind of like your idea. The Dukes of Hazzard thing could be a lot of fun. Now let me see, what was the name of that gal that wore those skimpy little outfits and filled them out so well.........?

I find this one appealing. Light & shadow are nice, as is composition, though the real appeal is the subject matter and detail, as is so often the case in your shots. The building in back looks like a church. The red door with the antler-pull adds welcome color. The AAA and dish are great. Hey, I have "Gone" in hand...looks great...and I have a photo up today with your name in the title (the rest of the title is "Do You Care?"...in the Trinidad folder if you don't get there in time to see it on my homepage.)

Thanks a lot. I always thought it was a pretty cool place too. The structure in the background was not a church anytime recently. I think it might have been built as a school. I took some pictures of it (in fact, it is the reason I had stopped) but nothing really struck me about the pictures. This was the day I was on the way to Susan Stone's place, and we got there late for dinner. But, she knew I couldn't help myself traveling through new territory, I had to stop and take pics every few minutes. I think she forgave me. She says I can come back.

Of course you're forgiven and of course I want you and Peggy to come back....soon. Did you shoot the old steeple? I've always wanted an Art Studio and I've often thought some old derelict garage would convert well. This is a real camouflage (did I spell that rigth Tim) job. You can bet the "good 'ol boys" have the key to this place. Love the red antler bedecked door. Well I seldom shoot buildings, trespass maybe, but not often photographed so I'm going to post one for the two of you, more of my B&W mania.

That old place might have made a perfect spot for an art studio. It comes with one major obstacle for you, and that is it is located amongst people. Not a lot of them mind you, but, still, people. LOL
