Whatever it is in your personality seems to make people feel at ease, and that is reflected in your fine portraits. The last two are just great images of people looking atrelaxed, unselfconscious and glad to see you (you in the sense of Doug, not you in the sense of anyone). Very good work.

Thank you both! Dave, if there's any truth in what you write, I think it's a result of familiarity. My everyday world is small. I'm comfortable there, and I know many of the people. Could I walk into a video store in another town and get this kind of shot? I doubt it. The clerk wouldn't know me, and I probably wouldn't have the nerve to even try it.

Clive, its converted. I don't usually have the ability to know in advance what I'll prefer in black and white.
