like the fact that you didn't just shoot the sign, but included the poles and especially the mountains. you always show that you have a keen eye for composition as well as interesting subject matter. best regards, john

As always, I so much appreciate your comments. In this area, you can't ignore the mountains. And the electric lines seemed to me to suggest travel, like the trucks that once used this highway.

I also like the composition. In addition, I've a weak spot for old signs like these. Nice capture Doug.

Very nice shot. Not only in terms of this tired old sign, but also the foggy atmosphere that amplifies the sense of age.

I appreciate it Jeff. At first I was disappointed with the haze, but then decided it added something to the atmosphere of the scene.

That's a great sign. I have to admit I might have been tempted to just concentrate on the sign, but I think the way you have included the wires, transformers and poles with the mountains, really worked well.

This is one of those where I just like it like this, even though another way might be 'better'.
