Isn't a nice part of this experience seeing other communities! There's nothing with this kind of green in Reno, NV. Very nice. A very interesting shot. Lots of interesting things to view. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for looking and commenting. I grew up in the Midwest, but have lived in Central California, longer now than in Iowa. And, yet, I never cease to be amazed at how green and lush the vegetation is once you get East of the Plains states.

Yeah, I bet I've been driving you nuts tonight with my poles and wires everywhere. Can't help it. What I see is what YOU get.

this is a busy shot. I mean busy in an OK way. There are so many contrasting

things there. It almost seems to be centered on the pretty church building.

The sky came up pretty good, too. Man, I went over the photo pixel by pixel, but I can't see any lillies there, you need more V8 :-D I think that calling

it "where soccer is not played" would be more exact. Cheers, Micheal

Well, you sure as hell wasted your time looking for lillies. It was kind of an allegorical thing. Being Canadian, you may not be familiar with Battle Hymn of the Republic." And to be totally honest, I'm not sure that is where I have heard the phrase, but I think it is. It is supposed to be a reference to the fact that out of all that ugliness, there is the church (for bad or good, depending on your viewpoint. And we won't go into mine.) But the contrast truly appealed to me. I like your ironic title quite a bit. Thanks pal.

Did you know that those bricks are worth $.75 each.

Must have been cozy little community 70yrs ago.

If those bricks are worth anything, then I have no idea why someone doesn't take them and sell them. In this community they need all the help they can get.

Thanks for looking. I know you haven't been around much, but this place was a vision of the apocalypse for me.
